It arrives seasoned. Here is how to keep it that way.
Every night
Wash with hot water and a little soap. Dry on the stove for a minute. Wipe a drop of oil in.
Once a year
Thin coat of flaxseed oil, upside down in a 250 degree oven for an hour. Blacker, harder.
Rust
Scrub with steel wool, wash, dry, oil, oven. Ten minutes and it is new.
Never
The dishwasher. Soaking overnight. Cooking tomato for an hour in a new pan.
